DM-Gael (whose full name is Gael) is a map appearing in the following games:


Map description Edit

A typical 1-on-1 map heavily inspired by the Morbias series. As such, it is composed of a central arena, a ring-like upper area opening directly into the central arena and two elevator areas which serve as the only connection between the central arena and the upper level.

The main differences with Morbias, of course, are the item/weapon layout (with the addition of the Lightning Gun, alongside the Rocket Launcher) and a death pit, as inspired by the likes of DM-Fractal. Above this pit is a strategically placed "Wildcard base", which respawns in regular intervals, three different Super pickup items: the Big Keg O' Health (the only health pickup in the level), the Double Damage and the Super Shield Pack.

For practical reasons, we are naming the elevators "North elevator" and "South elevator".

Walkthrough Edit


Tips and tricks Edit

  • You can go all out offensive with the Rocket Launcher, or play defensive with the Lightning Gun. Listen to the footstep noises to track enemy movements.
  • There are absolutely no standard health pickups on this map, so either use the Booster combo to regain some health/armor (if Adrenaline is enabled), time the Wildcards, or watch your back against tough opponents.
  • Remember the timed intervals at which the Super pickups respawn.

Trivia Edit

  • At the bottom of the pit, a fan of Gorge is trapped behind a glass window. Gorge himself, however, lays dead in a pool of blood, along with Brutalis and Wraith.
  • The beta version of the map, and the Championship version, had no death pit. As a result, it played like "Morbias + Lightning Gun".
