Access is a Double Domination map from Unreal Tournament 2004.

Map description[]

The map is a futuristic arena with plenty of passages and tech. The main gimmick of the map is that, in the middle of the map, there's a button. This button seals the access to a control point, forcing the teams to take a different route or focus the battle on the accessable control point.

The areas of the map are as follows:

  • Switch Room: The room that contains the toggle button. Also comprises the corridors from these areas to the points.
  • Blue Spawn Halls: A corridor north of the map where the Blue team spawns. It also comprises the northwest and northeast corridors to the points.
  • Red Spawn Halls: A corridor south of the map where the Red team spawns. It also comprises the southwest and southeast corridors to the points.
  • Point A Room: Located at the west of the map, a multilevel room that contains the Domination Point A. There are four elevators here: the western ones lead to the upper corridors while the eastern ones lead to the mid level and the point itself.
  • Point B Room: Located at the east of the map, a multilevel room that contains the Domination Point B. There are four elevators here: the eastern ones lead to the upper corridors while the western ones lead to the mid level and the point itself.
  • Upper Corridor: Located above the Switch Room, the only corridor between bases that's mostly unblocked and contains the Rocket Launcher.

Tips and tricks[]

  • The map tends to force you to travel to stay armed. The turns from the spawn rooms and the lower levels of the point rooms are good areas to keep yourself prepared.

Trivia[]

  • While there's ammo for the Lightning Gun in the level, the weapon pickup is absent.
