Species Statistics is a mutator found in Unreal Tournament 2003 and Unreal Tournament 2004. It serves as the inverse of a mutator featured in Unreal Championship known as "Competition Mode."

Overview[]

The mutator assigns different attributes to each race, affecting movement, health, damage resistance, and damage infliction.

Note: Favorable attributes in the statistics tables are marked in green, while unfavorable attributes are marked in red.

  • Playing with race-dependent stats allows players in team games to determine who should occupy a certain position.

Trivia[]

Developer's notes[]

"The single player game [in regards to skills, accuracy, tactics...] is different. This is where you build your team based on their strengths and weaknesses. In multiplayer by default people want an even battleground. Which means that the characters will not have different attributes. That said, we are adding some of that attribute functionality to multiplayer in the form of a "species mutator". This mutator adds different attributes to the characters of the different species you choose. For instance the aliens will be slightly faster but have less health while the juggernauts are slower but can take some heavy pounding etc."
